What floats? What sinks?
We were learning about floating and sinking. We wanted to find out what floats and what sinks.
Some of the things we learned is that some materials float first then they soak up the water and become heavy.
It was fun. We liked discovering that something we thought would float actually sunk.
Trace liked being a scientist and discovering new things.
We learned some new vocabulary like density, buoyancy, and mass.

ReplyDeleteLearning about floating and sinking looks like lots of fun. It's great to see the photos of your experiments testing what floats and sinks. You all look like scientists. Can you tell me one object that sunk and one object that floated?
